Devon Philip Conway was born on 8 July 1991, in Johannesburg, Transvaal Province, South Africa. He started his career playing South African domestic cricket for Gauteng before moving to New Zealand. He currently plays domestic cricket for Wellington.

Devon Conway represents New Zealand at the international level. The wicketkeeper-batter made his New Zealand national team debut in a T20I match on 27 November 2020, against West Indies.

Conway made his ODI debut on 20 March 2021, in a series against Bangladesh. He scored his first century in ODI cricket, in the third match of the series.
